Liberação do tráfego da nova ligação acontece nesta sexta, às 8h30 com a presença de autoridades, entre elas o Prefeito Topázio Neto (PSD) e o Governador do Estado Jorginho Mello (PL).
A abertura parcial da nova ponte da Lagoa, já asfaltada, iluminada e sinalizada, ocorre nesta sexta-feira, 04 de julho, às 8h30. A cerimônia de abertura parcial da via ao trânsito de veículos terá a presença do prefeito de Florianópolis, Topázio Neto, secretários municipais, do governador de Santa Catarina, Jorginho Melo, demais autoridades e da comunidade.
Inicialmente, o tráfego será liberado apenas na faixa da direita da estrutura, permitindo o deslocamento no sentido Avenida das Rendeiras. Já os motoristas que desejarem realizar o sentido contrário, devem continuar acessando a travessia antiga.
Na nova dinâmica de trânsito, os motoristas que estiverem na Rua Henrique Veras do Nascimento (SC-404), no Centrinho, e quiserem ingressar na travessia vão passar pela lateral da rótula na cabeceira do Centrinho (à esquerda), na altura da Rua Manoel Isidoro da Silveira, e seguir em direção à nova ponte. Já quem estiver vindo das Rendeiras segue pela travessia antiga e, ao chegar no Centrinho, vai virar à direita, se pretender seguir em direção ao Canto dos Araçás (onde fica o terminal lacustre, por exemplo), ou seguir reto se quiser trafegar pelo Centrinho.
